Programme Guide

The reason for Tony Hancock's absence from these three shows was that he had left his Adelphi show, "The Talk of the Town", suffering from nervous strain. The theatrical management, Jack Hylton, withdrew their permission for him to broadcast - on the grounds that if he was unfit for the theatre then he could not be fit to broadcast either. So, while Hancock took refuge from this dilemma on the continent, Harry Secombe filled the gap.

In this show, Harry and Bill smuggle Andrée into England and then take her on a sightseeing tour of London. On their way round the tourist spots, they meet up with Sid James. Sid wants them to help him in a 'little job'.

The 'little job' turns out to be a plan to steal the Crown Jewels.
