Programme Guide
In this final show of the second radio series, we find Hancock wanting to go abroad for as little expense as possible.
Hancock asks Sid to help and Sid gets Hancock a holiday in Spain. However Sid fails to tell Hancock that he wants him as a bullfighter.
A similar script was used in the "Hancock's Half Hour" television programme "The Spanish Interlude", which contains a brilliant Hancock
performance of a typical third-rate comedian 'dying the death' with an awful act. It also contains the ham elements of the 'show must go on' maxim. Hancock goes through this act to the
Spanish audience who do not understand a word of what he is saying, but, nevertheless he bravely continues, with the Spanish waiter interpreting Hancock's jokes.
The lasting memory of the television show is the Lad's absolutely hilarious rendition of "Rolling round the world looking for some sunshine" which, once seen, can never be forgotten.
