Programme Guide
This show and the two that follow should not really be included in any Tony Hancock programme guide simply because Tony Hancock did not appear in any of them. Nevertheless, they are episodes of "Hancock's Half Hour" and so, deserve inclusion in the complete episode guide.
With Harry Secombe deputising for Tony Hancock, this show sees Harry and Bill trying to get to Southend but ending up in Paris instead . The French connection was used to introduce Andrée Melly as the show's new female artiste replacing the departing Moira Lister.
Unfortunately, to suit the needs of the plot, Andrée was saddled with a French accent which became increasingly tiresome as the series progressed. Indeed, at times, the accent is so appalling, it is difficult to comprehend what she in saying and by comparison, Peter Seller's utterances as Inspector Clouseau sound almost normal.
