New Play about Tony Hancock


This September, the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham will be staging 'Seriously Funny'; a play about Tony Hancock and Kenneth Williams.

The play, which wil be performed at 7:45 nightly between the 17th and 20th September, is written and performed by Iain Barton and Wink Taylor.

The following synopsis is taken from the Theatre's website:

This brand new play examines the extraordinary relationship of two comedy giants.  Recreating some of the very greatest Galton and Simpson sketches as well as exploring the backstage drama - this comedy from Beyond Eternity Promotions is not to be missed.  so "Stone the crows" and "Stop messin' about" - book your tickets to see two of Britain's funniest men.  They may not have got on, but they changed the face of British comedy forever!
