Hancock's Half Hour makes a return to TV screens this May on the new Heyday Channel (Sky 192; Freesat 402).
The official press announcement stated that: 'Heyday Classic Television channel is pleased to announce that they have teamed up with the iconic writing partnership of Ray Galton O.B.E. and Alan Simpson O.B.E. to bring seven rarely braodcast episodes of Hancock's Half Hour back to the small screen. The shows were originally performed and broadcast live to air in 1957 and have not been transmitted for more than 50 years. Galton and Simpson have given their approval for the episodes are being screen every Sunday at 2:30pm'.
The epsiodes being broadcast are Air Steward Hancock: The Last of Many; The Oak Tree; Hancock's 43 Minutes; The Alpine Holiday; Competitions: How to Win Money and Influence People; There's an Airfield At The Bottom of My Garden; The Lawyer; and The Knighthood.
