New play about Hancock


A new play about Tony Hancock, which has already been performed at the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals is about to go on tour.

The play is called 'The Lad Himself' and is written by Written by Roy Smiles and directed by Paul Hodson. Set in limbo, ‘The Lad Himself’ examines the life of famous comic actor Tony Hancock. Hancock has just died, and is waiting to be judged by St. Peter, to see if he will be “playing ping pong with Hitler” or entering the “pearly gates”.
