Glarnies, Green Berets & Goons

Julie Warren has signed with the crowd funding publisher Unbound for her book: Glarnies, Green Berets & Goons: The Life and Legacy of Larry Stephens. Larry Stephens was, of course, Tony's close friend and first dedicated writer. The books fills in important gaps in Tony's early career and sheds new light on his eventual rise as Britain's leading comedian. In any event, the THAS urges you to visit to make a pledge for the work, which is being crowd-funded. The cheapest commitment is £15 which will secure you an e-copy of the book when it is published. If this is not incentive enough, the author, Julie Warren ( a relative of Larry) is offering a fantastic prize for those who sign up - an original programme from the 1952 Royal Variety Performance. This was Tony's first appearance at the event, performing a piece written by Larry. It was a tremendous hit and a catalytic event in the development of Tony's career. This programme is as rare as hen's teeth and is very valuable. **Please support this project**. At the very least, you will get an amazing book that tells an untold story of Tony's career. At the most, you may end up owning a very rare piece of Hancock memorabilia
