New Book

Julie Warren has signed with the crowd funding publisher Unbound for her book: Glarnies, Green Berets & Goons: The Life and Legacy of Larry Stephens.

Larry was instrumental in the creation and success of The Goon Show but was also a significant early influence on Tony Hancock.  Indeed, it was Laryy who wrote Tony's first sitcom script in 1952 called Vacant Lot.  The show was never made and Hancock went on to Hancock's Half Hour with Ray and Alan.  The script for Vacant Lot is included as an Appendix to the book.  Larry's early death aged just 35 means that his contribution and legacu has never been fully explored.. until now.
