New BBC Series - Lost Sitcoms

The BBC announced details of it's new series 'Lost Sitcoms' on the 10th March which are scheduled to be broadcast in Summer 2016 across BBC 1, 2 and 4.

The re-created sitcoms from old scripts are Steptoe and Son (The Winter's Tale), Till Death Us Do Part (A Woman's Place is in the Home) and Hancock's Half Hour (The New Neighbour - epsiode 4 of the second TV series originally broadcast 13.5.57).  There will also be 3 sequels / prequels of Are You Being Served, Porridge and Keeping Up Appearances) plus a completly new script for Up Pompeii.

It has been confirmed that Kevin McNally will play Hancock in this remake and Robin Sebastian will play Kenneth Williams.  The rest of the cast has yet to be announced.
